Michael Bartolone, President and Founder of Olympia Development Companies, believes in home building that makes sense. He strives to blend the classic style of yesteryear that is his heritage with the responsible building practices of today.
Michael grew up with a love for home building. A native of Orange County, NY, he began to learn the trade from his grandfather Peter M. Olympia Sr. Olympia was one of the first home builders/developers in Orange County. Operating a very successful home-building business from the 1930’s to the 1960’s, he was one of the earliest builders of neighborhoods in the area. Today, Michael recognizes his grandfather’s memory, success, and commitment to families by naming Olympia Development Companies in his honor. Before striking out on his own, Michael worked for more than 20 years for builders of large-scale, high-end residential homes in the tri-state area. Most recently, Michael served as Chief Operating Officer for Valhalla-based Ginsburg Development. While there, he helped the company earn Professional Builder Magazine’s Diamond Award, a national award recognizing outstanding homeowner satisfaction. Michael also served as project manager for Avalon Bay Communities in Wilton, CT and The Baker Companies in Pleasantville, NY. He holds a BS in Civil Engineering and Construction Management from Florida International University in Miami. As President and Founder of Olympia Development Companies, Michael is committed to providing clients with quality service and a quality experience to ensure their complete satisfaction whether the firm is the builder or serving as the general contractor on a project. He has a passion for classic American architecture from days gone by. He believes in blending those classic lines with efficient space planning, energy efficiency, and green building practices in order to offer homes with the look of yesterday that meet the needs of today. |
